Hi, I'm Nathaniel Read, a senior software engineer at the BBC with an interest in
full-stack software development_

I have experience working in agile teams developing experiences for web, e-commerce, IoT and smart TV. I'm currently working on the next generation of BBC News and Sport online. I've got experience with React, Node, Go, C# and more, you can learn more in my resume.

Hackathons are great, and I've participated in a few, including winning JISC's DigiFest with a smart-campus app and NASA's Space Apps with an interactive rocket-launch tracker.

I like to blog, my most recent post is: 'Solving no 'Remote Management' configuration prompt on macOS Catalina'.

Graduated from the University of Hull in 2020 🎓, while there I worked on various projects ranging from tracking lecture engagement through facial recognition to making an IoT Tardis.

As one of the founding members of #hullCSS, the Computer Science Society at the University of Hull, I worked to improve student experience and lead ongoing curriculum reform. Outside of tech, I'm a big fan of hiking, archery and dog walking 🐶.

I'm always interested to hear about cool projects; if you're working on something, feel free to reach out. You can also find me on Twitter, GitHub and LinkedIn.
